Press TV is the first 24 hour International channel, all in English language, broadcasted to the world from the Islamic Republic of Iran, more precisely from Tehran, their main goals are: to offer a broad news cover focusing in the Middle East, broadcasting cutting edge documentaries with political, social and economic contents and, last but not least “to show the other side of the story”, as stated in their official website.
Their official statements also show us their vision of things: “To break the global media stranglehold of western outlets, to bridge cultural divisions pragmatically, to highlight the versatility and vitality of political and cultural differences, making up the human condition.”
After Venezuela started TeleSur, the alternative media to the whole Spanish speaking world it’s very nice to witness other non aligned countries following it’s lead and pushing alternative mass media, so the peoples of the world can have other information options without being brainwashed by the usual CNN, NBC, Fox and many more tv stations that, at the end of the day, broadcast the same things, all the same views, politics and biased information.
